Hi guys,
I'm a telecom engineer with 2.5 yrs of experience. I have scheduled my GMAT on July 15th. I started preparing for it one month back.
My simulator scores are:
GMAT Prep score (5 week earlier) - 670 (49Q, 31V)
Powerprep (1 week earlier) - 680 (50Q, 30V)
Well, i could diagnose earlier that i'll have to hone my verbal skill, but the second test's score really discouraged me, when i saw it deprecited.
I did sentence correction from Manhattan - and I must admit that its a very helpful resource, simply genius.
I noticed that the boring and lengthy RCs turn me off, and this is my biggest weekness, so getting used to gulping boring stuffs these days.
I'm in Chandigarh/Kurukshetra these days, but I'm not able to get Official Guide for Verbal (Purple Book), over here. If any of you guys in Chandigarh can help me out, i'd be grateful (actually those scanned digital copies are cumbersome to read, and i really want to buy original books, i do obfuscate my source code).
Thanks,
VJ

any idea guys? | You can apply to 5 universities. You have to pick the colleges before the exam begins. Then give the exam and at the end of it choose to see your score(and by default sent to the 5 colleges you picked) or cancel and not see your score( and not have it sent also) | | | | | | | |

Hi guys,
I have booked my GMAT exam on July 22nd.
I stared my preparation only today. I don't have any sample tests as such.
1) Can one of you pass on a few good GMAT s/w to take-up tests.
2) I am planning to use the free ebooks available in the net and pagalguy (OG11, et al,) for my preparation. Would it suffice? Suggestions plz.
Regards,

Hi Nitin,
Download GMATPrepSetup from www.mba.com. It contains 2 full length tests and a lot of practice questions. This test gives the closest simulation of actual GMAT.
There're some old ETS tests (Powerprep s/w) available, you can find them over internet. Old paper tests from ETS can be downloaded at 5GB of free space to upload and share your files, photos, videos and music - eSnips.com
My biggest worry is related to RCs. What are you doing to hone your RC skills?
