Hi Guys,

Day before came across a sentence in TOI article. It goes like -

It is virtually impossible to stop Bangladeshi migrants - a majority of whom comes in search of better jobs and pay - sneaking in through the highly porous 4100 km border with India.

do you see any fault in the sentence from SC point of view?

shouldn't it be 'a majority of whom come in ..' ?

When majority refers to a particular number of votes, it takes a singular verb: Her majority was five votes. His majority has been growing by 5 percent every year.

When it refers to a group of persons or things that are in the majority, it may take either a singular or plural verb, depending on whether the group is considered as a whole or as a set of people considered individually.

Sorry if this seems a bit naive and somewhat off-topic, but like GRE, does GMAT provide an option to send your score to 4 universities at the end of the exam? Since sending an official score to an university costs money, finalizing (beta) your universities list now seems prudent (if GMAT has this kind of an option that is)..
