You need to send the official report to ISB on GMAT score within 3 weeks of submitting your application & it takes 31 working days to receive the official GMAT score card post completion of exams..

I am planning to give GMAT in the month of august. Am I eligible to apply for ISB R1?In the website they had mentioned that the last day is September15. How they will be considering the applications? Is it on First come first serve basis or all the applications be reviewed after the deadlines?

hi guys,

i have recently joined this forum and it is indeed quite informative.
lemme put my dilemma in front of u and see if any one can help me out.

I am a software developer from Bangalore(AS USUAL!!!) and completed only 1 year of work ex. I am planning to write my GMAT in july 7thand i am really disappointed as with my kind of work ex even though i score 700+ i hardly have the chance to get into any good b schools.

So guys any suggestion for me or anyone in same kind of situation????

hi puys,

i m takng GMAT in aug 2nd week .. thought of taking it 2 weeks before

i m really very confused ...

when i apply for isb in aug i will b having 1 year 11 months of work exp

i started working frm sep 2006 .. so i m totally confused ...

is 2 years needed while applying or when i join i need to have 2 years

puys .. do throw some light on this

i m an isb aspirant .. dont want to miss isb jus cos of this 1 month lag...

2yrs work ex is a decent one........, if u had more extracurricular actvities and good academics then defenitely u can get into it.........all the best.

Hello mani,

1 year+ work ex also matters getting into good B schools.......may be in abroad it may b not possible to go with 1+ exp but in india u can get some good B school like XLRI, sp jain etc......so no need to worry.

if u were very much keen to do ur mba abroad then wait for 1more year and then apply to the universiites becoz they need min. 2yrs work exp.

hi ram , ur giving ur GMAT in august then definetly u had the chance to apply in R1 only........there may b some chance for first come first basis but i m not sure....about tht.

but applying to universities as early as possible is good rather than waiting till the deadlines....

I am not sure if this is the right thread to discuss the practice tests that one give, but could find any specific thread addressing tests.

10 days into preparation now, decided to give my first full length test.

Gave the free kaplan online test.. Got a very pathetic score 650
Q44,V39. My GMAT date is 12 Aug.. have to really work hard to push this up.

I am not sure where do I stand.This being my first test,I have no clue about the difficulty level.. I could figure out quant was very simple. All mistakes I did were so silly that it would be embarrassment to mention them here.
Out of the 16 SC, i got 15 right.. so no probs here. RC I sucked big time out of 12 RC questions got only 4 right.

Any one of you given this ?

Hi Fattu..... I plan to take the GMAT test in the last week of August.....but I am yet to give my first full lenght test....I have the OG online test and was looking for the kaplan's. Can you mail me the online test installation if possible? Will let you know the mail id if that's permitted.
