Thumbs up Re: GMAT takers JUL/AUG 2008 - 16-04-2008, 12:38 PM

Hi Puys,

Seems i have missed the bus,I Intend to Write Gmat end of July/Aug First Week, and have not started preparing .

xth 82%
xiith 78%
B.tech- 64%
PG-Retail- 65%
Work exp- 5 years, Retail Indutry, Currently Working as a Brand Manager in a fortune 10 MNC. Active in extra curriculars- College President, Sports Captain..etc etc.

I genuinly wanted advise- Is July/Aug a realistic timeline..? ( i would be travelling out of country for one month vacation)

Typically how much time-Minimum is required for a decent score- 700 is my target.I understand it depends from person to person, but seeing my average Grey cells, what do the seasoned campaigners recommend in terms of time required to crack 700.

Thanks

You do realise that when you take the GMAT you have to give the names of 5 instis to send your scores to? Each insti after that costs $28. The first 5 at the time of the exam are free.

Hate to break it to you but this is absolutely the worst possible way to select schools. When you pick a school, rankings and affordability are a factor but more importantly, will you genuinely enjoy going to that school? Does that school excel in the field you want to pursue post-MBA. Do you like the teaching methodology of that school?
