Re: GMAT takers JUL/AUG 2008 - 09-12-2007, 06:56 PM

Hi,
I have tentatively planned to write the GMAT sometime in Aug..I plan to apply only to NUS and ISB because I cannot afford the fees of foreign instis. I will also write CAT,JMET,XAT and the likes. Is applying only to ISB and NUS a bad idea? Are there any other affordale instis? Sorry for asking this qn here, but any ans?

Thanks a lot dude ... I'm actually planning to take my GMAT by june / july so that i'll comfortably have time to focus on my application process . Being from an Engineering background i have not had much of a problem with Math , but verbal has always been a problem for me . What all books do you guys suggest for me to start my prep ? How do you think i can take my prep ahead .

Lightbulb Re: GMAT takers JUL/AUG 2008 - 10-12-2007, 11:05 AM

Hey guys... great work to start this thread ... I think most of u will be in the same position I m in.. am currently trying out all these MBA exams strting with CAT and endng off by FMS by mid Jan ... so obviously my next step will be to take GMAT..

So my next question will be when shud I start preparing for this one and also when shud I give it best... The reason I m stressing when the exam shud be given is because i dont wanna miss out on the best dates to apply for the GMAT taking institutes... so wanna plan accordingly... will spring - summer '09 the best to think for now?... So does that mean if I get a good GMAT score by mid yr 2008 .. can i apply immediately to these B Schools and stand good stead in the competition...

Wud be of gr8 help if someone replies to my queries...

Cheers

Ajeesh,

First of all thank you for sending me the GMAT materials. Since I wrote CAT 2007, I have a little bit knowledge atleast on the overall pattern of exams. But, of course I know that GMAT verbal is completely different from that of CAT which could be a lot more tougher.
