GMAT takers JUL/AUG 2008

Hi Pagalguys,

I want to take GMAT asap, but not able to devote sufficient time on preparation. Like millions of other Software Engineers, I'm a BE grad with 4 yrs of work exp..presently in Australia...and had decent acads ...both in school and colege days. My Intrerest has always been Finance and organising events and functions. Gave CAT in 2005 and got call from NMIMS but left it...but now desperately want a career change by doing MBA. Can you all help me with the strategy to get into one of the best Business Schools...

hey guys!!

i took the gmat prep test 1 yesterday. I had not studied a word but decided in order to kick start preparation i better take the test to schedule my studying. got a 660. my gmat date is 16 june..
also i got a final call from SIMS, Pune.. I am shit confused now over what to do
someone please help. TO join SIMS or not to join SIMS is the question! I will take the gmat though!!

10 92.4 cbse
12 85.4 cbse
Mech engg pune univ one of the best coll under it 61.3 % aggre and distinction in final year(67.4)
working since 20 months now in Mercedes benz. earlier was in procurement car parts and totally branched out to corp comm cos i always wanted to explore media related work areas.

hey...ur score looks good for a start...I won't talk about how good SIMS is...

you need to check how you scored in verbal and quant/prob solving...and start working on areas you need to improve upon...

I would suggest you to go for a shot at GMAT...best of luck

hmm vicky so u think i should leave sims and just focus on gmat..??

i was thinking more on the lines of givin gmat a great attempt and doin my mba from sims and later probably super specialisin in somethin specific abroad.. ??

Well I am no guru to tell you what exactly you should be doing it's purely your wish whether to join SIMS or go for GMAT...

if you join SIMS now and later appear for GMAT after your 2 yrs of MBA...you actually spend 4 yrs studying...2 SIMS 2 International B-School...Are you willing to spend 4 more years studying ?? I know studying is good, but earning money is equally important

Hi frnds,
After screwing all my MBA exams in 2007-2008, now i am planning to go for GMAT.
As i am new to this i just wanna know following things about it........

1) Right time to write GMAT.
2) Which all colleges in India other than ISB accept GMAT SCORE?
3) Where to start from.

1. other than isb u have nmims, mica, xlri, imt dubai (i think) which accept gmat. u can still see what are the specific clauses
2. don take the gmat just cos ur frust with domestic exams.. give some time to ur self.. good schools in gmat usually require great work ex so think bout that when u take a date
3. loads of stuff is availabe both online and offline as course material.. take a prep test and then make a schedule to study..

me too was totally down after domestic exam disaster but joinin an ok coll here only .. takin the gmat in june.. will use score l8r perhaps
