Hi all,

I am new to this thread, but an old horse in lines with the attempts at CAT. Newbie for GMAT. Let me introduce myself... wrk ex 4 years this June.. in US for the last 1 year, working for CTS... really good acads (was topper at engg.. good college in TamilNadu).. Varied interest from reading to newly acquired bowling (not the cricket thing, but the alley one), Current passion following US elections...reading habit kinda dormant now due to non availability of a good library and also restircted movement due to a freaking winter here...
Now to the point of discussion...People do you all have any orkut group that i can join.. planning to write GMAT here in US around August/September... Colleges in sight, NUS, some US schols, ISB maybe... US MBA is costly here, listen to me.. there is some kinda of slow down here in the US economy......Other preparations for the my MBA mission, trying to complete a risk management course (on Insurance.. called AICPCU.. mainly useful for American way of insurance, would look good on the papers)...

Hope to hear from some of you people here

My 2 cents...
Jul/aug is a good time to take the gmat. But no later than that..

You should start preparing now!!
I have my blog listed below...which can be a good starting point for you guys...also many of the threads can give you relevant info about schools/univs/scholarships.
I have prepared a guide which will help you buy the right books for you depending on your needs....


For ppl who are aiming really high...i can provide some real gud info...as I scored a 770 in 2 months prepping.

Currently I am not doing anything on MBA front...prolly apply next yr...aiming top schools only...

Hi SwatiCat,

Even I am planning to take up GMAT this July.
But I dont know from where to begin, and joining coaching classes is out of sight.
So, I am on my own and would be gr8 if we can share the the stuffs to maximize and learn the principles of taking up the test in order to maximize our score.

Hey MBA folks..
I m too interested to take GMAT this yr around june-july.Also as m not only interested in taking GMAT ,though CAT wld b an another option.But m greatly confused dat wether I shld take coachings for CAT or GMAT or both as learning in India or abroad is not the concerned thing to take any of these tests.Kindly give me ur suggestions abt dat wether CAT is more tougher or GMAT or making a preparation of any of these would b a well-nigh for both.

I am a newbie to the whole process of GMAT, but am plannin to take the exam by
end of june or early part of july with very little knowledge bout the difficulty level of GMAT. Need to kickstart my prep towards, so ppl please give me some DO's/DON's which u myt have gained thru experience.
Have gone thru most of the discussion in this thread, and its pretty encouraging.

Can anybody please share the links, pdf's and suggestion for starting the prep??
