I have both.
- Kaplan GMAT 800 doesnt provide Computer adaptive tests (CATs). With premier you will get 6 CATs.
- 800 is an abridged version. Though I havent gone through the material, I have heard that there is little overlap of the content.
- I have heard mixed feedback on kaplan. Most of them say, both are not representative of actual GMAT.

thanks for the reply.

i think you have done lot of R&D on study materials.

as i am planning to buy some good books and have come up with these list .

can you add your ideas.

i have categorised these into two section

STUDY MATERIAL :
------------------
there are lot in fact ...but people wont read lot ..otherwise things wont be finished

so here are the best ...

FOR SC ----> MANHATAN SC book is the best ...nothing comes close to it.
FOR MATHS--->PRINCETON REVIEW (cracking GMAT book)
FOR RC/CR --->OG11

these are the best study materials.

now coming into simulators

BEST SIMULATORS :
(1)KAPLAN premier
(2)powerprep download from mba.com
(3) can you add something more here ? (only simulators)

please note, i read other posts and have come up with this list.

can you please modify this list from your gyaan.

I think, you have taken test or in the preparation stage .....i am just starting preparation.

so, looking at the best books .

i saw some of the book list in the forum in fact ....whole lot of list ....wont be able to finsih in a year
so, looking at some top books to buy.

again, thanks for your response and time

For Math,
- Add scoretop VIP. PR Cracking GMAT math is easier than actual GMAT q's

SC
- Have you already taken Manhatten ? if not Take Mahatten SC 2007. with this, you will get 6 CATs. They are very good. with Manhatten 2006 you get only 1 CAT and 3 non-adaptive tests.
- OG 10 has 100 more questions of SC than OG 11. You can search for OG 10 softcopy in esnips.

CR/RC
- You may be interested in 3000 Rc and 1000 CRs from Scoretop, if you feel OG is not enough. But you wont find any explanations.

Now, Adaptive Tests ( lots of tests available, I will list only best 10 )
- GMATPrep : download from mba.com ( 2 tests , best available )
- PowerPrep : Download from esnips or scoretop ( You mentioned that you would download this from mba.com. This is no more available on mba.com )
- 6 Manhatten CATs ( I have heard these are second only to GMATPrep )

ATB !
