Hi Puys,

Nice to see a thread like this

I'm planning to give my GMAT as soon as i can, gave a very horrid attempt in 2005 amidst trying conditions---had sort of a family crisis,

i am a BMS 2006 grad with 70% .

I am working in my family unit of textiles but due to expected family issues not enjoying it so need the MBA to securely digress away from the family business.

My question is since i still have atleast 15mths to go before 2009 admissions should i look for another field of work, How do B schools look at work ex in family business??

I am Also doing the DFM [Finance] course at NMIMS.

I'm planning to apply for 2009 intake(R1). looking at 10-30 ranked US schools like GSB Chicago

Regards/

Karan

Am in too guys!

GMAT: 710(V 36, Q 50)
Work Ex: 5 by the time I join. (3 in IT MNC + 2 own company)
Target schools: 8 to 16 rank.

Applied last year also. Got through purdue, but dropped the idea in the last minute... then went on to start my own company in F&B service sector.
