I know from my own experience that if you convert a H-1 to F-1, you don't come under the quota when re-applying for H-1. I had worked in the US on a H-1 before going for my Masters degree at UPenn. I got a job in an investment bank in NY after my Masters degree and I know for a fact that I didn't have to go through the quota. One thing you might have to keep in mind is that the H-1 clock (aggregate 6 years after which you have to leave the US for one year) is not reset because you were on a F-1 visa, so there is a bit of increased pressure to start your Green Card processing (if you want to stay on in the US) once you are back on H-1, though you still benefit from your 1-yr OPT which is not counted in your H-1 period. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to kunalphanse For This Useful Post: | | | | | |

Hi Archana,
Your gmat date is fine. most bschools in the us start courses in fall, that is by august. for schools that have round based admissions, they usually have their first round deadlines by Oct-end or mid-nov, second round by dec-end or start of jan, and third round by around march. these are extremely generic timelines, and u will have to check the schedule of the individual univs u r applying to.
for the most part, the application process for us bschools is similar. u can check the schools website for the details. n yeah, nowadays most of the schools have moved to having a complete online application process. kKwhacks_I will become Hokage one day

Dartmouth - Tuck Dartmouth/Tuck’s essay questions for the upcoming application season are as follows: Essay 1
Why is an MBA a critical next step toward your short- and long-term career goals? Why is Tuck the best MBA program for you? Essay 2
Tuck defines leadership as “inspiring others to strive and enabling them to accomplish great things.” We believe great things and great leadership can be accomplished in pursuit of business and societal goals. Describe a time when you exercised such leadership. Discuss the challenges you faced and the results you achieved. What characteristics helped you to be effective, and what areas do you feel you need to develop in order to be a better leader? Essay 3
Discuss the most difficult constructive criticism or feedback you have received. How did you address it? What have you learned from it? Essay 4
Tuck seeks candidates of various backgrounds who can bring new perspectives to our community. How will your unique personal history, values, and/or life experiences contribute to the culture at Tuck?
Although there is no formal word limit for these essays, the school recommends that applicants aim for an average of 500 words per response. Applicants should also note that essays are expected to be submitted in a double-spaced format.
