@sillyfool

Those might seem like stretch schools, but i wouldnt put it as "Waste of money". one more Q, you meant GSB Chicago right? I feel you have a realistic chance at chicago.

As I said before, sell yourself well enough and anything can happen. As of now, work on strengthening your profile. Try to work on differentiate yourself from other candidates. Tell me a little more about what kind of work ex you have had and your post mba goals and I will be able help you better.

hope this helps.

hi guys,

I really need some help.....

I have been trying to visit some of the top B-school sites and figure out their cost summary....now I am very-2 confused...

Actually I am not able to understand the way these sites have specified their cost summary...in this section they give not only the tution fees but boarding, food, books and other expenses also....apart from the tuition fees I dont understand why they specify that...I mean all these other misc expenses will always depend on person to person, rite?? or is there something I am missing ...??

Also some univ have specified the cost summary for 9 months and some for a year....why has anyone specified for 9 months??

please if someone could just explain how to go about understanding this!!!

hello there
well the universities specify the costs so that you can plan for the expenses
and if you go thru the site carefully they have mentioned somewhere that
the cost depends on person to person and that it is just a rough estimate
and generally universities give info for 1 year only i have nt come across sites
that give info for 9 months

hope the above info helps

Thanks for the reply....
The 9months cos summary has been specified by the University of Chicago itself.
Anyways so can u advise how can i calculate an approximate expenditure over and above the tuition fees for a college?

Look my dear friend I am in no position to answer this question and i mean no one else
is. thats why the universities have done this for you by calculating it
If you do not take the hostel option and stay out of univ may be you can save some money
but the general cost is the same. So tho overall cost that is posted by colleges is almost
right may vary a lil but you can take them as guideline

By the way i did not check it for University of Chicago and it is my dream school hehe

hello there
well to be very frank with you they dont accept ppl who have no exp.
I mean what they are lookin for is how you can bring value to there system
I dont know about you but if you have done something really ground-breaking
or something rarely anybody has done so that they are impressed by you
then you have a chance otherwise if you are just a part of crowd then nobody
bothers. I might sound a bit rude or rough in my response but this is the reality

try to gain some quality work ex and work on your profile
Hope this helps
