Re: Gmat takers in december 2007 - 12-09-2007, 04:09 PM

In January all dates are crossed - does that mean they are over or registration has not yet started ?
(Same with Feb and March). I hope I have one day in December..I am traveling for a month in october too and I havent yet started on any book.

And someone had told me I should give gmat around june which is why I had kept quiet all these days and now suddenly I am told before Jan is a good time.

Hope I can do something !

HI All,
Sorry for not posting anything for long. Kinda busy at work and waiting for my new laptop so that i can start posting from it. My prep details, close to finishing Kaplan 800 and OG11. Will start manhattan sc and also RC. I'm thinking that i should book a date and also give a mock gmat test this week end.

Hi ,

All those who are takign GMAT in dec ,are you looking for the admission into US / UK schools for the year 2008.

Is the time enough to manage all the admissions procedure if am looking for 2008 admits.Tough but is it possible

Hi There,

I don't think its difficult. But the main worry for you , since I believe u r based in hyd, will be to get the documents ready for visa process as well.

The colleges in Uk and US still have time for the deadlines I believe and hence once u get the admission sort out ur visa paper work ASAP.

cheers,
ranjit

Ok. I assume you have not taken your gmat, if that is the case, it is going to be race against time. If ur apping for 2008 then you need to apply to R2 and R3. After Gmat you need to write your essays. It will take some time as they are really important. It is difficult to get admit in r3 unless you have atleast 2 of the following in ur profile---1)stellar recos 2)extraordinary undergrad score and internships 3)too good extra-cirics 4) WOW factor apart from these.( When i say this i assume you are apping for top 10 as well, sice yu have not posted your profile). take all this with a pinch of salt.

HI Chetna,
R2 and R3 are round 2 and round 3. All b schools in the US have three rounds of admisson process. R1,R2,R3. Hence you can apply in any of the rounds. But In R1 you have the best chance. SInce u have 2yrs of exp i would advice you to wait for a year more to apply as +3 yrs would be better than 2yrs. Exp matters a lot in US b-schools. May be you can try and improve your profile by then and impress the ad-comm. Feel free to ask any questions on this thread.
(We are from the same city-- Hyderabad)
Bye,
Siddhartha.
