2. Give older version of official GMAT PowerPrep1 test
-- just to see where I stand before touching OG 11

6.Official Guide 11
--First Round

3. SC from Manhattan

4. Kaplan 800 (mainly maths)

5. PowerPrep2 test

6. Official Guide 11 (Second Round one month before exam)

7. GMATPrep1 test (2 weeks before actual GMAT test)

8. Review and revise all books studied till now(last 2 weeks)

9. GMATPrep2 test (2 days before actual GMAT test)

I hope to finish my preparation(effectively in 3 months) and kept 1 month as a buffer for any unavoidable important needs...

HI,
I've almost completed 60% of OG11 planning to take a gmat test this week end just to see where i stand. Also will start Kaplan 800 and 1000 sc this week end....
How abt others?? Please share ur prep exp on this thread!!!! So that we can learn from each other.
Other thing is that i'm not having a great time in CR and rc. Will have to work on it. Making really silly mistakes in quant. Planning to make a log of all the silly mistakes in quant so that i can avoid it. Well i'll have to practise more cr and rc to improve.

Hi all,

I am from bangalore and thinking on the same lines of giving the exams by Dec07.

I am planning to buy Kaplan and OG. If there are people in bangalore who can share their material it would really help.

I stay in HSR Layout so if some stays near and is interested in sharing Test CDs it would be of great help.

And yes I checked the mba.com website and I could see dates available in Bangalore...

Hi All,
Even I am planning to take GMAT in Dec.
I am sure there must be a lot of working professionals in this thread.
Can you all share as to how you all manage time..as in no. of hours you put in for prep on weekdays and weeknds.
Also,
The material that I have got for myself is:
1)OG11
2)Kaplan Verb WB
3)Kaplan 800
4)OG 11 Verbal

I am planning to start with Kaplan Verbal WB as I want to take OG11 only when I am a lil better prepared. After that, will go 4 OG11 and ||y Kaplan 800.
Lets see how it goes..
All the best to you all..Lets CHAK DE !!!

It is certain only because it is impossible.

I think the books u are using above are sufficient depending upon the time available. As per ur experince, I beleive you will only be able to apply to limited 1 yr courses and will have to go for 2 yrs if u want to do mba in India.

Anyways best of luck and lets Chak Deee ------

HI Ravi,

Your age in the left column says 22. As u said u have a exp of 3 yrs, I meant after giving Gmat u will only be able to apply to ISB, Great lakes in India .

Other 1 year executive MBA courses at IIM's, MDI and IMT require 5 year of experince minimum.

So unless either u r applying for foreign universities with ur gmat score, ur options in India are limited. This is what I meant.

Time management ki koshish to hamesha hii rehti hain, but with family I believe the mantra is to be flexible with timings. Just set a target for a complete month and work for it with flexible timings. At the end of the day, that is what we will be expected as managers.

cheers,
Ranjit

Hi Chetan,

Yaar as per my understanding, SP Jain (Mumbai) do take gmat score for their 1 yr exec mba program. But the problem is their application deadlines for 09 batch finish in november -07. (This is purely my understanding based on the limited data on their website).
Hence if we do not have the gmat score, kaise apply kar sakenge ?
I am giving my gmat next yr march. (spring time in UK)

I tried calling them up but their number does not work. I have written them an email to find out the important dates, unless you already have them.

If you or anyone can share them, that will be great.

cheers,
Ranjit
