I have just now started Princeton, initial feel is that its a good beginning point, like u said gives a feel of GMAT

[quote=siddharthaduggirala;837725]HI,
Right now i have started the OG 11 for initial prep. Also bought kaplan 800 will do this next in sequence. Also planning to do kaplan premier series and manhattan sc. It is a lengthy sechedule how ever targetting a score of 750+. Apart from these it is good if we can do 1000 sc and some JJs. Ok that is the way i'm planning to do it What abt others??? Re: Gmat takers in december 2007 - 28-08-2007, 04:30 PM

Here is my plan...

started with my GMAT preparation last week. As of now plan is as below:

1. Princeton Review to GMAT (finish it in 10 days)
-- seems possible as finished Intro and Math section in 3 days

2. Give older version of official GMAT PowerPrep1 test
-- just to see where I stand before touching OG 11

6.Official Guide 11
--First Round

3. SC from Manhattan

4. Kaplan 800 (mainly maths)

5. PowerPrep2 test

6. Official Guide 11 (Second Round one month before exam)

7. GMATPrep1 test (2 weeks before actual GMAT test)

8. Review and revise all books studied till now(last 2 weeks)

9. GMATPrep2 test (2 days before actual GMAT test)

I hope to finish my preparation(effectively in 3 months) and kept 1 month as a buffer for any unavoidable important needs...

  • Never ask people. Not about your work. How can you let others decide for you?
  • Trials keep you strong. Failures keep you humble.

Re: Gmat takers in december 2007 - 30-08-2007, 01:42 PM

Hi All,

I too am planning to give GMAT soon. The books I will be using--

1) OG11
2) Kaplan -- with CD rom
3) Princeton
4) OG verbal review
5) OG quant review
6) SOme test papers-- either OG or JJ's -- do JJ's have the explaination of the answers
7) 1000 SC and CR -- they have no explaination of the answers ---- is that correct or do I have the wrong version ?

The above is the material I am referring. Any comments most welcome.

cheers
ranjit

Hi kunal,
there is 3 mons time for dec and that should be enough for prep if u plan carefully. In the end the decision is urs. ISB accepts the gmat, even iims accept the gmat but the condition is u have to be out india for 6 mons before the actual cat date. I have no idea abt other insts. How ever will keep you posted on this if i get to know.

SO have you started ur prep yet???? for the gmat in dec????
