Hi ,
I am new to Pagalguy and this is my first post. I would really appreciate if someone can help me by answering these questions.

1) Where can I get the Princeton review tests ? The Princeton review 2007 edition comes with at DVD but it doesn't have any tests.

2) Where can I get the Kaplan tests ? Is there an link from where I can download ? I checked a few bookstores here in Bangalore but I couldn't find the Kaplan CD.

3) Please suggest the bookstores where I can get these CDs.

Thanks,
Ravi.

Ravi,
1) Not sure abt princeton, haven't purchased it.

2) 'Kaplan 2006 premier with CD' is actually book + CD. These wont be available in street corner bookshops, but only in bigger mall-like stores like Landmark, Expressions, Higginbothams etc. Please try such places. In Landmark, even if they dont have it on shelf, if you want 'any book' they will procure it for you. [u wont get Kaplan CDs separately, got to buy with book]. You can't download these Kaplan tests from net as well.

3) Visit big bookshops and enquire with the salesmen or 'private messenger' any one of the Bangaloreans in PG and get the details.

All the best.

Thanks,
Ravi.
You can visit Gangaram's on MG Road. That will be the biggest bookstore.
Alternatively, if you want to go through the books first, then you should go to Landmark in Forum and check them out. Crossword might also have some of them. Though not sure if you can get just the CD's from any of them.

I have the Princeton 2k6 version. I haven't really started preparing from it, so cant tell you how good or bad it really is. Also, you will find mixed opinions on both Kaplan and Princeton, on the thread. It really is up to the individual as to what suits them the best.

Can any of you tell me how good are those 'paper tests' in 800score.com?

They are available for $20 for 5tests. I am running short of tests and thought getting some from there.

Thanks

Re: GMAT Prep Material - 03-07-2006, 12:08 PM

Hi abhay/amit

1. Delhi center specific qns:
a) do they provide head phones on request?

they shud. didn't need them. the environment is pretty silent. unless you refer to some construction work noise.

b) condusive atmosphere for the exam?

absolutely. i thot they exceeded by expectations

c) eatables allowed?

yes. but not inside the examination room. you have to keep that stuff outside in

d) any specific issue any one faced... ???

none that i faced. it is pretty consumer-friendly i wud say.

2. Summary of qns already covered above:
a) general condition of that place?

decent enuf i wud say.

b) separate cabins?

there are no separate cabins but cubicle style seating. the general feel is ok i wud say. not much of a bother.

c) any disturbances for which one needs to be prepared

the area doesn't seem to be having any renovation/construction work going on right now. but the room did seem a bit sound proof. not sure though cause was concentrating more on the test than the world

Hope it helps

Cheers

kunal

first and foremost: practice. rules amount to nothing if you haven't gone thru the experience.

practice a bit more.

if that doesn't help. call me up sometime in the late evenings..

Cheers
