OK Guys....I need some urgent help here...

I have to give the GMAT ASAP, have to get the scores by the 20th of June. I need a minimum score of 600.

My queries:

1. Is it possible? Will I get a date (Delhi Centre)?
2. How long does it take to get the results after the test?
3. I got a 98.35% ile in CAT. I consistently scored above 99%ile in the mocks. How much prep do I need to prepare for getting a 600 on the GMAT? Obviously, the higher the better.
4. Suggestions for preparation. And what does OG mean??

Please, help me out here....thanks!

score u get immdediately...abt official score card...it takes time...

not direct relation of CAT and GMAT...but getting 600 is no big deal...

search for GMAT...lot of info on PG..for bible on GMAT..read pshyhoD's thread on GMAT ...
OG - Official Guide..published by GMAC (ETS)...has questions that are on the same lines with those of actual GMAT...with answer n explainations...

check out www.mba.com. just register and view the slots. registration takes 2 minutes.

around 2 to 3 weeks for the official score card to arrive if i am not wrong but you can see ur score just after the test

OG=official guide. it is a book released by GMAC having real GMAT qs

Thanks a lot for all the quick help guys! Well, about the GMAT...I got selected for a student exchange program to a French university called EDHEC. MDI has an MoU with the university that students, if they so desire, can pursue a dual degree from EDHEC, meaning that I spend two terms there instead of the one, the second one being after the completion of my MBA here. That gives me a degree from EDHEC as well. Now, the EDHEC people sprung a surprise saying that it's a necessity to have a GMAT score of at least 600 in order to be eligible for the dual degree. This wasn't the case till last year for students from MDI. And the last date for sending in the application is 30th June. So, that's why all the rush.

OK, so it takes 2-3 weeks to get the official scorecard. What if I have them send my score directly to EDHEC? How long will it take then?? And do I get a provisional score card or anything??

u have option of sending the score to 5 schools for free just after the test. thats the fastest i think. not sure abt time though..i think its instant. somebody pls correct me if i am wrong.

i remember seeing on the unofficial score sheet that it will take some 20 days for this to happen!!! Sending scores to additional schools do not take any different time i guess, same 20 days!!!

Actually i am in Bangalore for next three days and planning to take this material from institute directly to my hometown in Mangalore.
