I have been reading through the thread and have a few questions regarding the official material offered by GMAC for GMAT. Hopefully, one of the people who has already given GMAT can help....

1. GMATPrep is the new Software that is supplied on registration of GMAT (instead of the earlier PowerPrep). Correct ? How many tests does it have (I believe PowerPrep had two).

2. Are there any common questions between GmatPrep and PowerPrep ? The intention of this question is if I can get hold of an old PowerPrep CD, will I be really able to use it in addition to GmatPrep ?

3. Are there questions that are common between GmatPrep and OG 11th Ed. ?

4. I heard there are questions that are common between PowerPrep and OG 10th Ed. Is that correct ?

5. Finally, are there any common questions between OG 10th Ed. and OG 11th Ed. ?

1) GP has 2 full length tests as well (and some sectional tests). But once you have taken the two full length tests you can uninstall the GP and then reinstall it-on the reinstall you have appx 85% new questions.

2) GP and PP may have some common questions. I would recommend that you use both the PP and GP. And that you use the PP before the GP.

3) OG 11 edit would have most of the questions which the GP throws at you.

4) Yep it is.

5) Yep there are.

Now. Download the GMAT Prep software from www.mba.com downloads page for free; and buy OG11.

And stop worrying so much.
