B-School Application - Counselling - Mumbai - 27-01-2007, 04:37 PM

Just wanted to start a thread to provide clarifications/guidance to other PG's (and gain some myself) on where to head for counselling/GMAT Coaching/School selection/Documentation (letters, essays, finances, etc.)/Visa counselling, etc. in mumbai and/or their experiences at the center's.

Starting off with mine:

I have been to Eduworld (Churchgate) and JayantPai (Dadar):
@ Jayantpai Classes - Dadar
I met the man himself "Mr. Jayant Pai", he explained the timing for taking the GMAT / TOEFL test to ensure being on time for R1 to various schools and the criteria/procedure in which they would help me with school selection & counselling me all the way till the the US Visa Interview.
(They counsel for other countries too, but i wasnt interested so...) for more info: ("www.jayantpai.com").

He conducts classes @ Dadar & Fort for GMAT & TOEFL & GRE.

The difference between EDU & JayantPai:

His GMAT Coaching classes are for 10K & it includes the teaching as well as the notes / books one would need.
@ Eduworld - Churchgate
I met a counsellor who explained the way in which they would take care of the application process and school selection for the student (through counselling package of Rs. 15.5K) and would have additional charges (5K more) for counselling if one wants to apply to the top 15-20 univ's in US as it takes extra effort on them..!!..!!..!!

The difference between EDU & JayantPai:
Their GMAT Coaching classes are for 10K (I dont remember it correctly though) & it includes teaching ONLY, but the notes / books one needs are additional.

Want to know if anyone else has either been to other places or enrolled with either of these or any other for GMAT Coaching/Counselling for Admissions/VISA Application, etc.

The info on this thread should be of great help for all PG's (specially newbies planning or confused on their plans for GMAT/Study Abroad)

hi...

well i opted for it to be region specific as there wud be many coaching/counselling places which are not present in various other cities/states.

So the whole point of having a mumbai/delhi/etc. user read up on institutes which are not accessible to him/her is pointless...

wat do the others think ?
