@Neo - dude... We were awestruck by the response, it was amazing

So a bit late in posting....We missed your presence.
@ALL --> snapshots
I will describe the spate of events.
1. 4.00pm Mocha's I met IT_SUCKS, ItsRahul, and a few other puys. We had just managed to get one hut for ourselves where slowly slowly public started gathering...
2. Initially it was round of intro's with everyone, with some newbies, as well as some experienced pagals, sharing their views on their MBA journey and their profiles. In the hut itsRahul discussed his unique journey till HEC France. It was very insightful, as to how he explained that an european MBA suits his needs because it will give him international exposure that he wanted, with a good brand value. ItsRahul is taking french classes and becoming affluent in french, which he told us was a requirement there. Following the same he also discussed how he plans to finance it, which is a major blue for MBA abroad aspirants. He had a firm opinion of limitations of Indian bank loans, to their amounts as well as repayments. I completely agreed with his view. Everyone concluded that good financial planning is essential before making an investment for their MBA.
Also mukool shared his GMAT experiences, and gave us some invaluable tips on how to crack the GMAT, he also shared our "IT_SUCKS" view, and we were very happy to hear it from so many people

this way, we also exchanged our profiles, and trust me even being an IIM (term coined recently by Johny bhai i.e. Indian IT Male) there were so much diversity between our profile. That was a bit soothing, though a few were fortunate enough to work on the business sides as well, many were stuck on the technical aspect, which they were regretting a bit. Mukool shared his valuable inputs on being an IIM, and what he wants from his future.
3. Then came the mastermind Aim-wsc, after hiding his name for a long time, we finally came to know it.. He was very happy to see everyone and meet them, his enthusiasm is uncomparable guys.. ain't it?
and then the charming Mituag (Mitesh) came all the way from Bangalore was very clear in his mind of what he wants of being a techie, he also struck some strings about hurdles we could face from the family side,
also our very own rocking Gmatter Mukool, they joined in the discussion with a few tips of a possible turnout, which we expected it to be at 15. shortly People started pouring in, included catalytic, inblue, Govi, and some more senior members, sorry folks if i cant remember your names, it was a full house and happening one!! soon it became a 15+ crowd, and it was not possible to accomodate all into a single hut.
4. Then inblue did some magic trick

, and the mocha upper level was open to us...We went upstairs in a chaos, there was music, and bit chaotic seating arrangement, but still pagals were all set to rock their way and listen to some serious talk!
soon we were putup in an arrangement there, itsrahul, mukool and inblue, had words of advise for everyone. I will just try to summarize a few in my mind...
5. Inblue,
======
our very own Chicago GSB admit shared her views on GMAT. She told everyone her story.
She told us that It was not correct to make a lot of fuss about GMAT, and a 690-740 score would do no difference in a top school admit, she mentioned that a 750+ score might make you more probable to get a scholarship, but nothing more.
She told us how various certifications, and her cross cultural work experience helped her to expand her horizons of thinking, and she could reach where she is right now.

you rock inblue
she also told her about Essays, I should call her an essay queen, I really think she is..

she put so much instinct in her essays which she believes is the key to her success. She told her essays should be honest, and clear in their meaning.
For that she also told me, and others that you MUST know very well answer to a question which says "WHY MBA" and "WHY NOW?" she said if you are clear about it, you are halfway through. she also sincerely answered a few more queries on financing, and essays. It was an very enriching experience, thanks a lot Inblue. you make us feel confident but not over-confident.:satisfie:
6. ItsRahul
========
He gave us a wonderful insight into fianancing of an MBA, and the process which is followed while getting admitted into a B-school. He told us ways to plan and manage our finances. He was helpful not only to us, but also a few newbies. Rahul, we are really looking forward to your "Clear" thinking, it inspires us a lot. Thanks.
7. Mukool
========
Mukul presented an amazing way to study GMAT with his Grid technique, he almost handed a roadmap to all new/old GMAT aspirtants, along with a list of materials they can go through, his grid technique is really cool, can't wait to try that. He had suggested me to go through Kaplan, and I concur. Mukool also mentioned how we can actually use some of the strategies while studying as well as during the actual GMAT, very insightful I must say. He told us to build stamina by taking sets of 50 questions each, for completing OG, and in the next OG run, he advised to filter out tough questions using his grid technique, and then work on them.
Also mentioned that AWA templates and CR are very much mutually dependent and we can leverage their advantage in preparing and solving both. He explained how AWA template can be used in accordance with CR knowledge...Thanks a lot Mukool.
while we were busy having mocha delicacies, there came another team, non-gmatters, and the PG team, which distributed us with the cool pagalguy stickers, and everyone took them like little kiddos dying for stickers

hehe jk... these non gmatters included guys like EKA from PG marketing, PGs very own programmers, and a few more guys, amidst a lot of chaos, they managed to click our videos, took attendance

it was real real fun with them... Thanks folks.
towards the end, we had a huge round of material exchange, while bhatiaji used his lappy to help people share the material, Mukool, Aim, IT_Sucks were instrumental in arranging all the stuff, also I must mentioned i got my hands on a very rare book (how to get into a top mba program ) from our dear friend Mitesh (Mituag) i hope i got his id correct, it's a lovely book, and not available in india...
Finally it was a bit sad to say goodbyes, and I left, few guys still persisted, and i don't know what they did
But I must say, with a whopping turnout, and a REAL mega meet, it was fantastic, rocking, and ummm the most helpful too!
after exchanging casual words with fellow puys outside mocha, I left to mark an end of a lucky day...
My many thanks to all pagals who made it, the PG Team along with organizers who were instrumental in making sure we had a great turnout, and everyone else who was related in any way possible...
So? keep it rolling guys

, we can make the best of all opportunities we have!
sky is the limit....
PS: Rather a long post..

Apologies if i forgot to include anything or misunderstood anyone...
Thank you folks,
_Abhinandan
