Am Shravan. Let me talk a bit abt myself before i come to the point. Have a total of 5.5 yrs of work exp in Corp banking, credit, risk analytics and consulting. Am already an MBA and want to take a crack at the global B-schools. I will most probably be taking the GMAT in the first half of 2007.

Will love to get inputs on how people are preparying.most imprtntly if anybody has practices CATs for the GMAT. Wud luv to exchange material!!

Sat eve is preferable as am currently in Pune. Would try and make it there. Any body from Pune, would luv to talk rightaway.

welcome to the forums Shravan
i wont recommend using the same material for GMAT that one uses for CAT preparation.
OG11 is the first book one should start his prep with
all the best

i will be happy if you guys let me know what do you expect from the GMAT-meet.

Here's the list about the things i expect you to answer.:

1.] the material =discuss the material you have. and share it during the meet.

each of us if brought some unique material, it will be of help.

please reply to this thread the materials you can bring on the meet.
ofcourse it will be unfair to expect any Pune guy to bring some books.
Guys, I am ready to Bring Kaplan800 book with me.
so you do not have to bring that.
I expect Princeton review 2007 book from somebody and same one from 2006 or earlier edition ( lets see whether both edtions are same or any changes happened )

OG is i assume is a must have book so you dont have to bring it on meet (we dont have to review it !!)


2.]Also do some homework
share some interesting list of weblinks you have; you check regularly and you can recommend it to us.

3.]now about the meeting and location n timings:

i think, Bandra west some restataunt near railway station will be OK with all of us.

boss, i would love to meet you guys but on 10th I have my JMET and on 9th I have a class in TIME - so it is just not possible to make it on the 9th :( maybe 16th in andheri(W) Mc Donalds??

you post on both sections. CAT as well as GMAT.
and hence everywhere.

sunday NMIMS exam is there....so it was decided to meet on sat.

let the people decide when to meet.
If they are sort of OK sacrifising you they might go for 9th.
afterall i think the early we meet the better out prep will be.

on the other hand,
but having an experienced GMAT person is quite a thing so
dear people think wisely.

So what has been decided. 9th eve Bandra, what time, and where.

Have been reading you comments and inputs, they sure are valuable. Am looking for Manhattan material , particularly SC and if possible other sections also.

Guys, if you have Computer Adaptive practice tests for GMAT from different sources, would you mind sharing them?

I can do my bit .

Lets finalize the Mumbai programme by tomorrow eve,
