Will have 3 years by July 07.
Acads are not so gud in Engg. Extra-Curr is so-so.
C/S is decent i wud say - especially in coll too.
Leadership abilities to show - straight line from school onwards.
GMAT given
Essays to think about

Lets see. it is going to be an interesting ride though

Cheers and ATB

Kunal

Congratulations Iday for the super score. Congrats to you too Kunal for the super super score! Pardon my ignorance, but, do class X, XII scores matter when you apply for B-schools? Do they require you to mention these anywhere in the app?
It doesnt matter to me because I have pretty decent X & XII marks...but I was just curious. BTW, I am also looking to apply for Fall 2007. Just took my GMAT - 720. Will have 5 yrs experience by Fall 2007. Hope to be in touch with you guys over the course of next year or so (may be beyond that too!!!).

Yeah - the 10th and 12th scores dont matter. It is just a practice of mine to mention that everywhere

Old habits (and old scores) dont die soon

@ bostonian - will be glad to keep in touch. Mind telling abt your profile and goals?!?!

@ Ahmed - anything karega yaar. Ping me with specific details and i'll work on them for sure. Speaking with Alumni/students is on my To-Do list as well. We have time to kill anyway, till the schools release app packets.

Here it is Iday...

BE - Electrical from an REC. Top 5 in the graduating class...(~80% marks)
Then worked 1 year (6 months each with 2 companies in India).
MS - Computer Systems from Boston GPA 3.7/4.0
720 ( Q50, V38 )
Will have 5 yrs of exp by July 2007. Working as a software engineer in a Medical Device Manufacturing company in Boston.

I have a concern though...I am not sure how to explain my 1 year work ex in India, in terms of switching 2 companies quickly. Not even sure if I should even mention that experience. Kind of confused on that. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I havent decided on what schools to apply to, yet...but I think I'd be mostly looking at something on the East Coast. No further than Pittsburgh I think...I sent my scores to MIT, CMU, Columbia, NYU and Cornell on G-day.

Keep in touch!

@ bostonian:
Pretty good profile me thinks.
All the best.

u wud have had some justification for switching the jobs right. jus let the adcomm know the real reason. i always think that it is best to present the real case and justify it

Keep letting us know how things go

Iday
