Well the answer to your second question is I don't feel there is any need for a coaching inst. coz the books are good and more over you must have covered all that basic stuff in school. Now you just have to brushup your basics and time yourself.Solve as many Que. as possible.

Btw ...you work for which IT firm?

GMAT

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admissions Test) is primarily used as part of a student application to business and management postgraduate courses. However, it can be used in applications to other study areas.

The exam covers basic verbal, math, and analytical writing skills and consists of three sections. The first is an Analytical Writing Assessment with an analysis of an issue and of an argument; test-takers are allowed 30 minutes for each of these two writing tasks. The second section is Quantitative and consists of 37 multiple choice questions to be completed within 75 minutes. The third section tests Verbal skills through 41 multiple choice questions covering reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction and must be completed within 75 minutes.

Official score reports are mailed approximately within two weeks after you take the test. Total scores range from 200 to 800 with most students scoring from 400 to 600. Most institutions will accept results from exams taken within the past 5 years.

You should know how to go about answering a question and you should be able to finish the tests on time. Also, if you havent done math for a while, you may want to study up on algebra, geometry and percentages.

The GMAT is administered through computer-adaptive mode.

Why is this thread different from
http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/gmat-a...2008-09-a.html (GMAT Query Center-2008-'09)

If it were just "tips" then it would have been a great one (contending even for a sticky) but here I see most posts to be more like queries.
