Hey all

had been flooded with PMs with people asking for advice and with their various stages of preparation, I had asked them to post their scores on the mock tests that I had advised. This way I would be able to gauge the effectiveness and we could jointly iron out the problems.

But dont see any posts!

whatever happened?

i never said nobody thanked (btw i am not gathering thanks PMs for recos u know ;-) )
and mock tests were not advised to everybody.
what i meant was that an overarching majority did ask for the tests and how to gauge their scores in them! (perhaps my propensity to miss out details in sentences has returned after the GMAT)

think u thot i was being sarcastic.

not a problem.

Er, I really forgot whether I had thanked you or not which is why I was double checking Not to mention I am really looking forward to thrashing out more details with you sometime soon

And no, i didnt think you were being sarcastic. I actually liked the fact that you were pushing the others to take/post the test/scores Cant wait to meet you

Viru pahji.
thanks for the wishes. it does feel nice to know that 1 imp step has been taken succesfully.
well any tips on the prep have to be in context of your own efforts and situation:
1) work load
2) how rusty are you?
3) what material have you gone thru/collected
4) expectations
5) period of study available till the test

Go thru the various threads and you will realise what kinda of information is required to make an assessment/advise on the path to follow.

ATB

Kunal

p.s. sorry for the late reply.

Re: 770! - Now we are talking :) - 11-06-2008, 09:21 PM

I gave GMAT test in june and got a very low score of 580 :(

with quants 47
verbal 24

As you can see I have scored very less in verbal, can some please advice me how to go about improving my verbal skills ( books to go through, may be from basics ). Earlier I had gone through Manhattan verbal strategy and had done OG. Planning to retake GMAT in August 2008.

looking forward for advice
