No offense meant Arun...i know i m sounding like a worrywart repeating the same things but just want some reassurance...

Thanks a lot Hobbes for the reply.Very informative indeed. I have checked out the websites and profiles of all the schools i have mentioned and as u said most of them dont hve very high avg gmat scores(except LSB again).....but then i dont have the kind of avg work ex which they have either.
So what do u think? Chuck lsb dreams and aply to rest? I did consider HEC paris but havent heard too many favourable comments from ppl abt the job scenario in france ...please correct me if i am wrong.I am not too specific about one year or two year Mba..as long as its from a good uni.

browse through awerage scores in different colleges to have a better understanding...

speaking of the application process,i have a query abt recos....my manager in my previous company has also quit the company.Can i still use him as my referer? I am in touch with him and m sure he'll gimme a good reco but the problem as i said is that he is no longer part of that company.
Will it still be a valid reco?

Hi Shekhar, I am surprised to see the similarity in our profiles(I am also a s/w engg.). And ha i forgot to tell that its bikiran. had some problem logging in using my old id.

No I dont think you need to drop your ISB dreams just because your score is less than the ISB avg (From your post it appears so, I dont know the avg GMAT of ISB). As all the BSchools say, dont look @ their avg GMAT, look at the middle 80% range. And as a rule of thumb, if your score is 50 points less than the lower end of the 80% range, then you need to have a stellar application to make it through - be it yrs of exp, non-traditional industry, recos, CS etc etc etc...

So once again, it all depends upon your overall profile.

And oh ya, ur 10th and 12th marks wont matter. Infact even when u talk abt your ECs, try not to mention the ones you engaged in 10th n 12th, 'cuz its interpreted as lack of things to talk abt post-school.

Yup, dont think it will be an issue. Do mention it in the optional essay that he has also left the previous company. One or two lines should be enough, just so the adcom knows why his email is from a totally different company!

Just an FYI: If you are not planning to take a reco from your current supervisor, you might have to explain that as well in the optional essay.

Hi Guys,

I have another problem. As I am still to get my transcript from my engineering college, I wont be able to make it to the 2nd round of LSB. Is it a good idea to apply for the 3rd round. Another query is whether only a transcript for my engg. degree will do or I have to take from my 10th and 12th boards also.How can I proceed with the request to the BSchools for a TOEFL waiver. I know that I am very very short of time. Guys Please help.
