Re: Kaplan 800 - 19-10-2005, 11:33 AM

I had picked a copy of the Kaplan 800 from Om Book Store (Gurgaon - Metropolitan Mall). Other Om Book Stores (Noida etc) also had it.

Better options of Kap800 - None !

This had given me a verdict of 714. I got 710 - I gues its as accurate as it can get.

(Dont feed the After OG PP fig if you take one. It is useless as it is contaminated)

Hi Kirti,

Please go through the forums (testmagic & Gmat club) I have mentioned above and you will be more conversant with whats to be done and not. 700+ is a tough fig (as I have figured out) and needs severe effort esp if you are targetting Dec.

You will get lots of pactice tests which are normally available with the books like Kaplan, Priceton etc.

However the most official of them is the Powerprep and GMATprep which you can download from the GMAC Website but first go thru a strategy post by any of the test taken-s and work out a strat of your own.

Have you got hold of the OG and Kaplan 800 ?

Hi parag
Thanks for the reply!!I am already through Princeton...Have given 3 tests as well... but since I never had internet connection at home so i could not evaluate my score of the princeton tests.(I scored pretty well in quant-kind of 95%accuracy... but VA/SC/RC was bad nearly 60% accuracy)
I had given a test which i downloaded from gmac.com and I got a score of 680 in that.I am presently doing OG,and am kinda 30-40% thru with it.I find quant section pretty easy , but am not very comfortable with SC,VA.(AM planning to buy kaplan as soon as I am thru with OG)
how do i get hold of the forums -test magic and gmat club
I am pretty new to this site and I havent explored its usefulness fully...
I am seeking ur help in this area as well :-)
Thanks again and take care
Kirti

Re: GMAT study group in Delhi ..! - 22-10-2005, 08:54 PM

Sat for the GMAT with a on/off 1 month preparation, pick-n-choose from OG, Kaplan (real old stuff from a friend, 1989) and scored a 600. Any hope of crossing the 700 mark if I follow Parag & others advise?

In no hurry, can take the test as late as mid-2006. Background: Science/Maths, BS in Comp Science, good (rather very good) in general English (ICSE & ISC 88%).

Appreciate any feedback.

How is your maths. If I can cross 700 (considering my background - not IQ - see my debriefing in the main forum ) then I think you definitely can. If you are working Just keep solid 2-3 months for some for some focussed study - thats all. More time will burn you out.

Bye

Parag
