pp scores - 17-09-2005, 10:45 PM

[quote=parag_bhadra]Hi friends,

Section = wrong/total, Scaled Score
Quant = 15/37, 49
Verbal = 12/41, 41
GMAT Score = 730.

To get over the confusion of the High No of errors vs the Score I went in for the PowerPrep 1 today as that was reported to be much more accurate and got the following.

Section = wrong/total, Scaled Score / percentile
Quant = 7/28, 45 / 82%
Verbal = 1/30, 45 / 98%
GMAT Score = 730. again.

hi ...
i am a little confused over my gmat pp1 scores and how they are evaluated

quant - scaled - 49 %le-93
verbal - scaled - 33 %le-61
overall - 650 % le- 85

the analysis was shown for 28 qs in quant and 30 in verbal.
how are these scores arrived at and how much are they indicative towards your final scores????

parag,

help needed man ..

i just posted my woes with GMATPrep in another thread but came across this one where i see u have written exactly the same thing as i exp with my first GMATPrep test

wrong/total - scaled score
quant 15/37- 47
verbal 14/41 - 36
Total - 680

needless to say, im maha MAHA disappointed.. but more than anything else, i cant seem to fig out ans to a few problems (which i have got wrong) and i dont agree with the ans key provided by GMATPrep ( for some of the quest that is)..

and, what was the level of the actual gmat as compared to ur gmatprep tests? Quant used to be my strong point.. now i dont know where i stand and what to work on !

and best of luck with ur ISB apps.. im sure ul get a call !

cheers
kack

Hi Kack,

As most of us have found out -- GMAT Prep is bit quirky. I had a definite wrong question in one of the GP I gave and off course a lot of "I dont agree with the ans".

So dont make too much out of it- Just take the score (that is pretty authentic) with a pinch of salt. Anyway the GMATPreps are not good for analysis as there is not answer explanations.

You may find this thread helpful (most probably you have already seen it.)

Bye
