this is for all those pdf' requests --> FYI OG is not published in softcopy edition..it was for some kind soul who had compiled a softcopy for 10ed(verbal section being the most popular)..and had it circulated on some other forums..so all those fellas out there requesting for pdf'(OG 11th ed)..have kinda got hope in a hell.

it would be neat if we restrict ourselves from posting such requests, which i think is detoriating the quality of this thread..n instead stick to expressing personal opinions about the OG 11th ed..also all the leading bookstores in metros, by now should have it on their shelves..n option of buying it online from sites like amazon is always available.

i hope i have made a point, n hence forth all those request wackos will think twice before posting any more void pleas..its a community for US for the MASSES..so do yourself some good by, obeying the code n help maintain the quality.

regards,
dj.

couldnt agree more dude, though i dont think that leading bookstres in metros possess the book rigtht now, though they should hopefully stock it in the near future .

nevertheless the lifetime of this book is severly limited as the chaps conducting the test have changed to "pearson vue" from 1st jan 2006 , who should take out thier own versions of official gmat questions , and what is official right now wouldnt remain so.

with best regards,

yash

with refrence to what yash had say,

couldnt agree more dude, though i dont think that leading bookstres in metros possess the book rigtht now, though they should hopefully stock it in the near future.
--->maybe i havent checked it personally, but they can arrange it for u i guess, atleast leading mumbai stores should..though ma point being, a serious test taker can always get it from mba or amazon websites..why cry so much about pdf..n barge n ruin some other thread..for something so stupid.

nevertheless the lifetime of this book is severly limited as the chaps conducting the test have changed to "pearson vue" from 1st jan 2006 , who should take out thier own versions of official gmat questions , and what is official right now wouldnt remain so.
---> yash bacha, I aint think u got it right..gmac remains the same which owns gmat test..only the test vendor has changed from ets to vue..so i certainly dont think they have ne rights to get their own so called official version..!

also powerprep was published by ets..n the new version gmatprep is not.

can any other gmat pandit or pg clarify it..as i dont have any factual reference to support(feeling a bit lazy to r n d further ;@))..also even if they do come out with some other og as u say..it only means more retired questions to solve which is kickass..so there should be no fret amongst jan 2006 n forth(future) test takers.

regards,
dj.

hey dj , i had a doubt regarding gmatprep and powerprep , would be great if you could help me out here

could you please explain the difference between the two types of testing softwares.

1. Are the questions same or different .

2. The actual gmat resembles the look and feel of which of the 2.

3. are the tests "cat" computer adaptive .

giving gmat in less than 3 weeks. any sort of help will be highly appreciated.

with best regards,

yash

Hi,

I have one thru OG 11 almost twice. Still could not make out - what they meant by " NEW organization of questions in order of difficulty to save you study time" mentioned in ETS's statement.

Any comments

Parag

Hi

I find the GMAT OG 11th Edition Verbal having some really good questions on CR.
I think you get most of your variety there.
I basically was confused with which book to start with and finally took DJ's recommendation and started off with Kaplan Study Guide as i have not prepared for CAT in like 3 yrs now.
Then moved on to NOVA publication and then finally Princeton Review ...just for the sake of completion.

Very simply, one should own a copy of the OG 11th edition Verbal Review ....in order to avoid going through so many books....and overwhelming the Box upstairs.

Pls Note: Its just my thought that a single book giving you all the variety better than going thru' so many of them.

Cheers
Champ
