2. taboos - an inbition resulting from emotional aversion

1. venality - corruptive

3. obliterating - make imperceptible or undecipherable
4. vivid - having clarity, freshness and striking characteristics

Of chit funds and loan lotteries

1. booty - goods or money obtained illegally
2. gypped - deprive of by deceit

i've started reading Hindu only since last week and kicking myself why on earth i was away frm such a nice paper (TOI Sucks .. specially that meaningless Page3(realised just now)) ... nyways better late than never... this thread is the highest caret gem among others ...

limbo - imaginary place for lost or neglected things(oblivion)
