We have a psychodementia juggernaut here on PG

Sempiternal - everlasting, fugacious its antonym.

juggernaut-a massive inexorable force that seems to crush everything in
its way

contrivance-inventive skill( in common parlance "jugaad")
After a few enlightening posts from hardcore and expert pagal's, let me continue with the thread objective...

Jaggu's contrivance was that they should first go to their home-cave and soak themselves in water. Then they should start for the high hill where there are no trees. Leela, on the other hand, was contending that they must go to the high hill and forget about going home as the home-cave is in deep jungle, where they might need to encounter the inferno of fire. She asked Jaggu to stop behaving pantaloon. Right then, the F-18 dived down and asked them to follow him to safety. They all obeyed without apprehensions.

They were galloping on their top speed and before they could stop and think, they found themselves in trap. "Oh shit", Leela thought to herself, "We should not have followed F-18 blindly". Now the question was how to get out of the trap before the hunters are back...

Inferno: hell, place of misery
Pantaloon: clown, buffoon, a fool. How conveniently I were into thinking that this is somehow related to pants!! All because of pantaloons retail chain. If Pantaloon's is a place for/by fools, i m not going there anymore.

the behemoth was at a striking distance and they were trapped ,death seemed the only terminus , but the glorious past flashed through , a new spirt of life sprang through , the beings who till a few seconds back were down in dumps , started looking for ways to get out of the trap

behemoth---------abnormally large

spirt-------------sudden spurge

I earn a ten figure salary ,unfortuantely there is a decimal point involved.

In front of them was the hunter. The person who had executed horrible enormities in the past and behind them was fire from which they were running from. They were caught in a catch-22 and the only way out of this mess was to........

Enormity-an act of extreme wickedness
( well for the junta out there watch out. "in careful usage the noun enormity is not used to express the idea of grea size"; well i used it in that sense too but not now. Use immensity instead ot any other word")

catch-22- it means a no win situation.
( another info on this. this phrase is named after J.Heller book of same title. it could have been named catch-18 but L.Uris novel Mila-18 on warasaw ghetto uprising was released first and so he chose to name it catch-22)

to instigate F-18 to use his occult powersand pick them up to dissipate in the clouds, up, up and high; but d problem was...........

instigate: To urge on; goad, To stir up; foment
occult:
  1. Of, relating to, or dealing with supernatural influences, agencies, or phenomena.
  2. Beyond the realm of human comprehension; inscrutable.
  3. Available only to the initiate; secret
  4. Hidden from view; concealed.
  5. Not accompanied by readily detectable signs or symptoms: occult carcinoma.
dissipate:
  1. To drive away; disperse.
  2. To attenuate to or almost to the point of disappearing:
    1. To spend or expend intemperately or wastefully; squander.
    2. To use up, especially recklessly; exhaust:
  3. To cause to lose (energy, such as heat) irreversibly

that F-18 was a misogynist. He won't help Leela willingly. But if he had to save Jaggu and Maggu, he would invariably be saving Leela as well, since all of them were in the same trap. At the same time, he could not have told this to the victims blatantly. So, he ....

Misogynist: One who hates woman. In our context, one who hate she-wolves. BTW, does any one know what is the female word for a wolf???
Blatant: Brazen, Shameless

decided to resort to periphrase. But then the picyure of mowgli flashed in his mind and he thought it would be silly to lose friendhip of Mowgli bcoz of his prejudice for not helping women . He then..........

Periphrase- circumlocution; to say in a roundabout way

Prejudice- biased

came up with an idea to give a call to his concubine, Ms. F18. She can easily take Leela. Ms.F18 acquiesced to d proposal and so.........

concubine:
  1. Law. A woman who cohabits with a man without being legally married to him.
  2. In certain societies, such as imperial China, a woman contracted to a man as a secondary wife, often having few legal rights and low social status.
cohabit : To live together in a sexual relationship, especially when not legally married

acquiesce: To consent or comply passively or without protest

A part of thr story so far. - 04-05-2005, 04:27 PM

While the populace was sleeping in the village, the animals in the thick forests of Sunderban were warming up for their daily hunt.Mowgli, woke up with a yawn.He cleared the gossamer that spiders hd spun around him.He checked his forearm lacerated by his own "panja" boomerang. Suddenly,he heard a heavy voice calling out his name:"Mowgli!!",he sprung up,alert and tried tom judge the direction from wher the sound came, not being able to get the direction,he was about to settle down in his tranquil seat, when he heard a raucious roa,and was flabbergasted to find a thick-haired,massive bear looking down upon him,he was about to run, when a cacophony filled his ears and his obscured feelings returned to his rended foream, where the bloof was now getting mixed with his sweat. He flew his panja in the direction of the noise. The panja returned without hitting its target. He could feel the irritation in his wound by this time.Without getting perturbed,he swung his panja again. This time it hit the bear.Th bear made a hasty retreat back to th woods. He now moved the direction from where the sound was coming. As he came out in the open,he could he see a person at a distance. His wizend countenance told him it must be panja went straight up and what came down took the bear by surprise, enough for Mowgli to slither away from bear's eyes. But fate had something else for him....

P.S.->SOMEONE COPY THE REMAINING STORY FROM POST 10 ONWARDS.
