Maybe following Norman Lewis or some word list by some coaching centre like IMS, TIME, CL or better still read a lot like news paper magazine and look up the meaning of the words you find difficult. This will help you both in RC as well as vocab building. Discussing new learnt words with friends helps a lot. Association memory at its best .

as far as ur ppl thougts on learning vocab are concerned most of ya are on da right track ..Yah it is reading and not ugging them that is more imp ... bakee a good base always helps

hey pooza thanx a lot.. iam already following norman lewis..but i dont have habbit of going throgh lot of reading stuff except economic times and our very own TOI. BUT I FInd THE HINDU veryuseful. its language is also gud. iam in IMS BHUBANESWAR.Just following its word list...do u know wats the english standard for IIFT.(ANYBODY).

well i have been reading newspapers and magazines since ages
but normally newspapers dont cover everything
i say reading novellas though it may sound boring are really good
