hey guys
i want to ask like all those who got into IIM, did they ever gone thorugh whole barrons for GRE word list..
me bad in VA.... what u guys do to improve your VA?

as such CAT has moved away from word lists to more of applications of vocab
try doing as many exercises from these books.

Since u are trying for CAT 05 . u have lots of time ...
Do every English exerceise you come across...and make sure u analyse and learn from ur mistakes ..
also keep urself familiar with Idioms ...

i feel the same
whenever i see some unfamiliar words , i really lose confidence..
esp those anagrams or fill in da blanks which are so called sitters

Hi Junta,

I would like to share my experience about developing vocab for CAT. Please do not spend time on going through GRE wordlist...it does not solve our purpose to crack CAT. CAT vocab is mostly formal language that is used often in newspapers. So if you develop the habit of reading newspaper from now on, I think it would alleviate one's fear/feeling about vocab.

And letz keep posting (Ajeej is already on a roll) any interesting stuff that we come acroos so that everyone is on track.
