hey pagals'

can u just suggest me a way to improve my vocabs. yes reading can improve it but i never look for the words i dont understand in the dictionary. i understand the meaning and move on. can u suggest a new method

Pardon me,
but u mean to say that u do understand the contextual meaning of the word without knowing the exact meaning. But this is not an advisable strategy coz sometimes the contextual meaning can b misleading as well.
Reading is the way to improve ur vocabs, condition that u keep a dictionary alongside and look for the word u have a doubt for. It'll work wonders for u. Another great way to improve it is to go thru Normal Lewis' widely acclaimed " Word Power Made Easy" and learn to hunt for the etymological meaning of the word or the root.
Etymological root analysis is a very effective way to improve upon ur vocabs as it gives u links to hundreds and thousands of words which otherwise is impossible to mug up.

Omerta yu were very true buddy. sometimes the meanings derived thru context are very misleading and take my word for it james that to be a "bond" always consult a dictionary.

and i wud also like to add another book to that.

An adult approach to increasing word power by nurnburg and rosenblum.

this book is ideal to be taken up after the Red Book i mean norman one.

ther is a dictionary which every internet use uses!!

believe it or not its google , im not speaking about searching for a word in google and getting the meaning!!

this command if given in google can give the meaning of the word u r searching for!!!
