Unhappy Usage of Forgot and Forget - 21-06-2008, 03:20 PM

hi, People say that "forgot" is the past participle of "forget". But sometimes i get confuse, which one to use like: Is it Oh! I forget to bring your pencil. OR Oh! I forgot to bring your pencil. Please clarify this doubt. Mod, I apologize if I have opened this thread in wrong section. Please do the needful.
