Acc to me, the answers are most likely to be this way-->
1) ECBD
2) DECB
3) BECD
4) CDEB ( Shivam, note the discrepancy in the options of this questions... You've repeated CDEB... It should've been CEDB, I guess... In that case, I go with the latter... )

Hey medulla, is it not possible that answers have been wrongly marked in the source.. (plain curious! )
I still feel very strongly for option no 3 in both the cases...

Answers to parajumbles

1) Option 3 is best suited as BD and Ec are the mandatory pair and only option 3 and 4 have it. The remaining job is to check the permutation and combination of the same. By doing so one can easily see that B follows the first one.

2) This is from the hard level of para jumbles.Option 5 is the answer.
a crack to this would come from the link between EC. as soon as one decides that EC is the mandatory pair immediately the answer summarizes to DECB. I too got it wrong

3)
Option 3 .This was also the tough one as is clear from the language. Anyways the look at the option can tell that either B or C will follow the suit hence Again a thought would have eliminated the options beginnning with C as that is not carrying the legacy or flow . now DC are mandatory pair and E should come at the end. hence BDCE.

4)Option1. A sitter para jumble as soon as one neds reading the scrambled lines one would be clear that only E will follow A hence EDBC.

Many got it correct .. oK next set coming tommorrow .....

1) Choice (4) ECBD. There is a strong EC link. So only options 3 & 4 are in contention. There is a CB link as it expresses contrast. Hence (4)

2) Choice (1). C mentions '…outcome of these…'. So option (5), (4) and (3) are out. So BC is fixed and (1) and (2) are our contenders. DE is a link. E brings in a contrasting view to that present in D. Hence BCDE

3) Choice (3). B is definitely the opening statement (after A of course). D expresses further about deconstruction also a clue is '…this tranquility…" referring to (2). Hence BDCE

4) Choice (1). D mentions '…these dichotomies…'. and E mentions the dichotomies.

Many of u might not agree on the answers but i have posted the answers as given in the answer booklet and the explanantion is same as copied it from it.

The set is from SIMCAT series of IMS 2006 season and most of their answers are right at least in english.
Please do not groan ... i too got 3 out of 4 correct ..

Hi shivam,

It is very nice that you are taking initiative.
But please follow the naming convention. This is something new we have started on all the verbal threads. You can have a look at guidelines. Click on the following link and see Pooja's post

http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/englis...2008-a-66.html (Parajumbles for CAT 2008)

I dont know whether you noticed or not but many Puys have already put the naming convention while they posted their answers to your question... like milind,td1...

I thank all of them!!! You Rock Puys....

I hope you will follow the naming convention and the rules regarding when to post a new question and help this thread to ne less messy!!!

Hi madadi...

These answers are from authenticated source. I have already posted my doubt aboutthe second question.

As per the first question, Please see the expalnation given by Srikar

I feel he has a correct point. There is no link between D and B.
Puys.. What do you think?
