My answers :

1) Choice (2). Clearly C is the start sentence and A is the end.

2) Choice (2). A is a better start sentence compared to D and B. Also there is a DC link. Hence (2)

1. The consequences of the sudden shrinkage in forest cover could be even more disastrous.
