@ page 31 Comparison of adjective
Supply the proper form of the adjective(Comparitive or Superlative)

11) Bad - He is the ___ boy of the two. (ans given worse)
15) Tall - He is the ___ of the two.(ans given tallest)

As of my understanding for 11th answer should be "worst" .as below one is correct.

What will be the corect answer for 11th ????

@page 32 Excercise in composition 20
Change the degree of comparision without changing the meaning

15) I know him quite as well as you do.

16)You do not know him better than i do.

What would be expected answer??

Thanks
Rahul
comparatives are used whenever there are 2 ppl in the picture.worse is the comparative form of bad and worst is the superlative.hence use of worse is justified.had the whole class been compared then it would have taken worst instead of worse.e.g.he is the worst boy in the class. coming to the second one tallest,it stands an exception.he's the tallest boy in the entire class.he's tallest of the two.both are correct.

15) I know him quite as well as you do.(i know him better as u do)not sure of this one.

16)You do not know him better than i do.(i know him better than u do)
