hi puys
was out of activity for a couple of months.neways i would like to share a small trick with all of u(thou many of u might be aware of it).
i saw the discussion above about superlatives.one request to all people,if one's voicing his/her opinion not enough sure abt the answers then please mention "CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG".it helps many not to take the answers for granted and fall into flaws later.
anyways here goes the trick(relax its not self-generated by me)
1.we can use -er,-est with the words having single syllable.e.g.wisest,smartest,smarter.
we add the word MORE to the words having more than one syllable.exp.more beautiful, more handsome etc.
2.when two qualities of a person is compared, the first word will take MORE even if its single syllable.e.g.ram is more wiser than hard working.its wrong to say ram is wise than hard working.
when a single quality is on focus between two persons then we dont add MORE.e.g.ram is wiser than hari.(not most wiser or more wiser as clearly indicated by user DEVILS_OWN).
3.Absolute words are never comparable.we cant place more or most before them.e.g.infinite,perfect,etc.(more perfect, most oustanding has no meaning)
hope this helps many ppl
