My take as follows: 76) C (hypothesis that ... mentions directly what the hypothesis was, without using words like which, there, etc. C made little more sense than others). 77) B ("they have come" is incorrect, since "term" cannot be "they", hence A,E eliminated.D eliminated since we are changing "may suggest" to "may have suggested". C changes the original "laying out" phrase. B preserves the original sense). 7 D (either ..or is the right phrase, hence A,E eliminated. "either become... or spread" makes more sense than "spreading". 79) E ("portray them" is correct, hence A,B eliminated. D eliminated since it changes to "literal"."to consider them as subjects for literature and to portray them with respect" sounds right. 80) D ( )

[Hi Guys, here is my explanation:
76.C - Use of that makes it precise and clear instead of "there being"
77.B - after suggest, it can be either "suggest to layout" or suggest layout". The term "graphic term" is singular...so it should be referenced by "it" not they.
78.D - Note the question lacks parallelism- "either become too crowded resulting...or ...spread too...producing..."
79.E - "to consider the rural poor to be legitimate " is illogical and redundant use of to be ...make it precise "to consider the rural poor legitimate" and "protray these" is incorrect use pronoun..it has to "protray them".
80.C Comparision is incorrectly specifed "civilizations that flourished is compared with civilizations...no verb in action" it has to be civilzations that flourished at the same time as those had"

My take:
76) c-which give more info about the hypothesis aptly
77) b- "a wide range of " is appropirate usage moreover the
pronound 'it' is better than 'they'.
7 d- usage of either/or and maintains parallelism
79) c- we can eliminate a & b because of usage "portray
these".
80) a- no change required
Please correct me if i am wrong

e)the car runs more quietly when i add a more heavy transmission fluid.
I think b) being a better option as e) has a repeated use of more which seems unnecessary.
So, I would definitely go with
b) The car runs quieter when i add a heavier transmission fluid.
What say puys ????
By the way, I will request the person posting questions to post answers after a period of 24 hours so as more no. of people can attempt them. |
i'll second him on this.
b,according to me is the right answer, don't have any explanations though, just sounds better than the others
