1 . I - as I is the object (I did this)

2. I couldnt get who is object and subject here (may be ME as not by rule but by not looking gud funda )

3. Her- is receiver of search by you.

HI puys...as is evident that at times we are certainly not able to decipher the subject and object... so my next post would include few handy rules to solve such questions... anyway....try the folowing...1.Between you and I/Me, He is the culprit.( you need to first of all understand what this sentence means)2. lata is as tall as I/MeregardsjakharP.S. let us start a similar thread on CR>RC> etc. because even thou there are a lot of them currently going on but let us start considering we are all GMAT(i am) or CAt '08 aspirants..

My take:
1.You and I did this. ( Subject- you & I Object- this)
2.Work comes second for Tony and me. (Tricky one, not sure)
3. Is it her, you are looking for ? ( Subject- you object- her)

well the answers to the questions i posted yesterday are-
1. you and i did this( explanation @cute.sid last post).-

2.work comes second for tony and me - explanation for this transcends the normal subject and object rule. ichanced upon this wonderful rule that is helping me to tackle such questions.

Rule: after a preposition the case of pronoun(s) is (are) always objective, and puys believe me this rule is observed righteously.

in the second sentence the word 'for' is a preposition so the answer is me (obj case of i).

3. Is it she you are looking for? observe this simple rule puys, that after it clause the case of the pronoun is always subjective. So , from now onwards donot use ------- it is me (this is wrong , speaking strictly ffrom the purists pt of view) the correct sentence is - it is i...

Q. Is it she/her you are looking for? the answer is She... even thou you can see we have for (a commonly used preposition) but it comes after the pronouns.... so to sum it up....prepositions effect the case of pronouns coming after it....not before it
