@ cute sid.
I agree with ruling out of E as seems redundant .But I go with D not B.
I will try to explain the reason.
We see 2 parts : a car running
quieter/ more quietly and another is a
heavier /more heavy transmission fluid.
We use heavier (ier form in general) when we are comparing 2 things and use More (for comaparative) when the qualities of same person/thing are compared.
e.g .A is wiser than B (Here a quality is compared b/w 2 people)
A is more wise than hardworking .(here 2 qualities of A are compared).
so,following the same reasoning : second part will be
heavier as it is comapred with other transmission fuel. This brings down our choices to B and D.
debatable part : Suppose there is a race of cars and u observe Car A(120kph) moving faster than B(90kph).U say " Car A is faster than B"
After a lap Speed of car A becomes from 120 to 150 u Say " Car A is running more fast"
Rite??
Similarly, here the property of Car that is
RUNNING QUIETLY compared after adding oil.
So,it should be more quietly than quieter (as it is not getting compared with other one.)
PS : The above reasoning is mine that may be wrong
As far as answer is concerned,we can't rely on the material .But we should discuss so as to form a consensus .
Discussions are welcome!
