Statement says ..."Pipe tobacco's alkaline smoke is too irritating to be drawn in to lungs ...when compared to cigarette's acid smoke"..
which is clear with D

OA is C.
C does the correct comparison . Comparing cigarette tobacco to pipe tobacco.
A - wrong comparison. Comparing smoke, with tobacco
B - same problem as A
D - 'Differing' is unidiomatic
E - illogically suggests smoke is cured

OA is A.
fear is same ...as A says even after first world war fear was there , but still second world war happened ....and this fear is till there even after second world war ....so "fear" is not the exact reason for which there is no large scale war yet ...may be something else .....so this is weakening
