3. He has lain his racquetball glove on the beach.
A. has lain
B. has laid
C. have lain
D. have laid
E. is lying
-> I have a very good explanation for this, hope you would all find it usefull.See whenever you find this type of question replace lain etc with the "rest/place" test. Substitute a form of "lie" or "lay" with a form of "rest" or "place." If a form of "rest" makes more sense, use a form of LIE. If a form of "place" makes more sense, use a form of LAY.
Rest (rested, resting) = lie (lay, lain, lying)

thanks a ton..for sharing such useful "tips and tricks"
keep them coming...in the near future....
