Hmm... That's correct.!!!

Will moderate the pace.

But I had posted the stuff with the hope that it would be read over the weekend...and from diffferent topics ....

The average length of th passages is around 2000 words .so you should be able to read them in 7-8 minutes...later we will go for shorter passages which are more abstract..as in CAT 2006...

Will stick to fewer passages during weekdays.

Also it would be nice if people could come up with some questions that could come from these passages...

Regards
Tanveer

good work tanveer!!..but lets go one passage with questions at a time as we would be able to discuss different ideas and interpretations fully before spending our mental resources on some other passage..this would also enable us to streamline and provide continuity in this thread..keep up the good work! please do the honors and provide us some questions for the first passage on socrates and his philosophy for us to discuss..

Yeah I too agree with the_Phantom....it is better if we go at the rate of one RC at a time.

Great job Tanveer

i too would agree that the we need to slow down.
why not make it a passage a day...in that way we will have the whole day to disect/understand/research it.

A Typical of seshadri, joining late in this thread. Congos dude..

By the way already some suggestions like posting one RC a day and
waiitng till we rt done with all RC's are there.Let me add one more.
Y dont we take up RC on Topic wise? for ex next week on finance related
(may be extracts from ET,or from some coaching insti material(here Copy right issue comes)) next week on Law,etc.. So that we can keep rotating and could be comnfortable with variety of topics.

Re: RC Digest for CAT 2007 - 25-03-2007, 09:31 PM

Boy! i wonder how exam setters for GRE etc come up with so many questions on such obscure topics by the dozen...anyways i have come up with a rough sketch of questions for the passage on Leadership. Puys start posting!!!

1>Which of the following situations are not analogous to the spiritual
quandary faced by employees today?

a)An employee without asking his manager takes a day off to visit
his ailing grandmother
b)The CTO of a company authorizing substantial resources in the design
team to work on a futuristic product without the consent of the board
c)None of the above

2>"You have an executive responsibility to take politically incorrect
stands in service of the long term corporate common good"
What does the writer mean here

3>What is the tone of the author in this passage?
a)Non committal
b)Dogmatic
c)Involved
d)None of the above

P.S: Will come up with more
