Nice thread! I'll keep visiting it... But Raj, you should keep up the tempo, by posting the links regularly...
But do we keep the links only to ET? Or articles related to economy & business???
There was an interesting article on Capital Account Convertibility two days back...
But it didn't make sense to me at all! could somebody explain?
If it's oke to post hindu articles , i'll post the link here...

Hi,
Today's Editorial(13 sep)
http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/...ow/1984811.cms
The article is all about the growth in industrial sector , which is 12.4% since june 1996.
Manufacturing which has spurted @ 13 % in july , sectors like mining , elect etc has also spurted last month, the growth is broad based which picked up other sectors also.
The economy can receive Keynesian style boost if some of the major project like SEZ , Bharat nirman etc implemented.
Govt need to open up various sector like banking, insurance , retail etc and come out of licence raj.
The only hurdles is that rising interest rate which increses the govt,. spending.
to reduce expenditure govt should not revive sick PSU and should revive Disinvestment issue.

Keynesian Theory
Keynesian Theory, is an economic theory based on the ideas of 20th century British economist John Maynard Keynes. Keynesian economics promotes a mixed economy, where both the state and the private sector play an important role. Keynesianism economics comes in contrast to laissez-faire economics (economic theory based on the belief that markets and the private sector could operate well on their own, without state intervention).
