hi shrutz...
there is this one thing which has been troubling me since a long time...the typical question which pops up in every other rc:'who do u think the author is
options:a physiotherapist b. psychological thriller writter...blah...blah..'
i never get them right!
now dont tell me to skip those questions!the temptation is just so strong,i can hardly resist them!!

gr8 work shrutz oops great work shrutz i just read your strategy its great ,but i think 30 min. only to passages is a lot of time 20-25 is enough in these you should be discriminating about the passages you chose according to your familiarity and comfort with the pssg..requesting all people if they they have some gyaan on anything plz post it for my part i will post 1 test of vocab everyday.looking forward for the reply

Oh yeah they are pretty confusing... the best way to solve them is through elimination.... usually you can narrow down your choices to two.... then you can either take a guess (if you have time constraint) or else you can re-read some part of the passage to eliminate any one (or atleast reduce one options' chances).... but try to follow elimination rather than choosing straight ...

Those kind of questions are easily done by the process of elimination... Like said earlier Always try and re-read the passage (SCAN) but only if you have time! Easy as pie!

Ok while reading passage u should be very careful of picking key words as well.. in cases when such questions are asked, passage has clear indication bt occupation of author.
i remember one passage dont know which handout of TIME. it said something about some conferance and some paper presentation. and then u can relate the content of passage to ans the ques. As you have come across this problem, so you may be having some passage with you with same prob, i would suggest go back to passage and try analyse what could be the answer. If you are TIME student they provide dwith soem RC practice books, Few passages do have this kindof questions. you can work with them for more practice. and even otherwise, with OP-ED you can work on this aspect, of trying and identifying author.

i hope this crap helps :!!!

If you're really as bad as you make yourself to be... there are two options open to you!
1) leave the question.
2) eliminate judiciously to 2 choices and make an "intelligent guess" with the rider "Damned be the 0.33 if I don't get this right" I cannot overemphasise "gut feeling" when it comes to RC questions like this!
Best of luck
