I'm joining NIT Surat this month for B.Tech in Electronics. I'm an international student and I wanted to know if the flood has affected the college. Please help me with information of the condition there.

hi this is Ravish ....
I'm presently in Bangalore but Surat is my hometown..
I know ther has been a flood in Surat ..but the city has not been affected..
if some damage it will be in the outskirts..
the train network from Mumbai has started functioning too..
and ther is no danger as such in andaround the campus..
So don worry and jus njoy ..Surat is a wonderful place to be..
If u need any help in SURAT PM me I'll try my best to help u out ..

The place where NIT is located is connected to good roads(after all SMC is the richest MC in the country...no doubt with Hazira industrial belt, it stands to gain a whole lot).
So I dont think u r gonna face ne prob.

Its nice place to be in. And with electronics as the branch you really gonna rock here!!
Computers , Electronics and Mechanical are the top branches here.
You can reach there easily as its still not so inundation in that part of the surat.

are ashish bhai how can u forget Chemical the highlight of SVNIT the only branch wjere even after 4 years of vacation u are guaranteed a joband where prof are thanfully still humans

well, i m the junior of mallu,chintu guys. aapka aashirwaad mil gaya,thnx.
well to make u more clear, comp has got the best placement in the history of college,MICROSOFT picked one guy from my class with a whopping package of 7+.
and with amdocs, 5 more guys with 4+ package.
