bingo Zit.
and Dylan doesnt fit the bill.He wrote the songs when he was married to her and after his divorce with her.Whereas Layla was written by Clapton to woo Patu Boyd Smith.
one more,
One of the most underrated songs by Pink Floyd’s , Written about a British war-time entertainer, , who hosted a BBC radio program called Sincerely Yours during World War II. Her morale-building songs became so popular that she even toured Burma in 1944, entertaining British troops.

Me too wasn't sure about that part. Actually, I put some "???" after tour name, then deleted to make it look more assertive It was wild guess as it was the tour going on during that period. Wasn't it during the early nineties ??
Rohit, Dylon performed 'Sara' after their divorce, that I know. But the exact timing of the other songs, no idea. Other two songs were for/about Sara, and I thought they pied pipered her towards him.

Artist: Vera Lyn
Song name : The Little Boy that Santa Forgot
and @ Rohit....i dnt think its much of an underrated song, coz if u look at its lyrics a true music lover will definitely find it at primer on his play list...provided its got some gud epiphone tones, unlike the ones floyd's use..
cheers...
