lemme make tough things easy for u....i drink cuz
1. started outta curiosity
2. then for the nice floating in the air feeling
3. now that iam almost immune to little doses of booz.....its just for TP or party

ps1: lemme ask u something...though it may not be totally related....why do u play cricket (or any sport) when u know that there is a non-zero probabilty that the ball may hit ut balls.....

ps2:whats the big deal......u don drink and smoke....fine....why do u wanna waste time knowing why others do it

So, moi starting with this one.

As of me, I don't do anything without any valid reason and no one ever convinced me with a valid reason for getting into these habits.
Why to do use something which the company says is bad fo me?

Having one full chapter on the same and my college being very adamant about case studies ( I must add we all loved it) I have mostly touched all the topics we have read at college even more deeply. Thats one of results I had arrived at from the case studies etc

Ask your friend at IIM to survive till 50 and then say he doesnt want to live till 70. He should know its too early to decide that

Suggestion for smokers - 09-06-2005, 09:35 AM

One suggestion for regular smokers, it can lead to tremendous cost savings and help reduce the pollution levels in the city. Buy a long pipe, attach it to the exhaust pipe of your vehicle and enjoy free smoke .

I have applied for patent, don't try to copy this idea ;-)

People who drink, I am working on some suggestions for you too, will get back with the ideas soon

I would definitely agree with this one.
Infact after spending some time in the software industry and watching a few friends in the BPO sector as well, I feel that making company and fear of being alone is one of the major reason that a person gets into 'harmful' (and not bad. is it ok?) habits of smoking and drinking.

I myself was almost bullied by my PM, in a party, that c'mon how the hell in this world can you survive, especially in the coporate sector if you are free of these two habits?
And at the time, my DM and almost 90% of the colleagues were on their side.
It was a different thing that I didn't want to survive in that company (MBA aur kya?) and thats why I didn't take it seriously.
But 3 guys from my side shifted to the other side soon and in the next party they were accompanying them.
I felt that they almost related appraisals of the job with that.

And no doubt, it helps a few people. The only moment you get to talk to a few people personally might be the time when he comes out to have puffs and then you can discuss some personal issues.

And not to forget the camaraderie between people after they get drunk.
They forget all the ranks and almost behaves as long lost brothers (or deadly enemies sometimes ).

So this feeling of being left out might be the biggest reason these days.

so now smokin and drinkin are contagious huh??well...mayyyyy be....it all boils down 2 how well u can tackle the whole thing of not drinkin/smokin yet being 'IN' the group...in fact there r quite a few big shots...(cant recall the names though)who r thorough party animals...but neither do they smoke nor drink....so i guess...if u r someone who can throw life into a party...then no matter wht u do/or dont do (even if u wear dhoti to a disco )...i guess it's FINE!

I have tasted it my friend and thats why I say that its bad (even in taste).
Compare it with the fruit juices.
But again, taste lies in the tongue of the beholder.
