thought il open a new thread on this topic.
so.. what do u like the best about ur city? every city has its own charm and a sense of belonging. even though there are problems aplenty like pollution etc there are somethings about our city that we really love.
i love my city bangalore coz it has the best dosa eatin joints, the weather is nice and cool , there is so much of greenery.. and so many other things.
so wat do u like bout ur city?

I like my city thiruvananthapuram....
it aint big....
there are places where there is real peace and calm...
good beaches at kovalam...
things aint tht expensive here....

i know there aint any shopping malls or any discos over here but this still is a very nice place to live in...
and finally God's own country.district rather..why? during the recent tsunami disaster god saved trivandrum...districts on either side(kollam in kerala and kanyakumari in Tamilnadu) were hit by the massive waves...but trivandrum was spared...so certainly God loves this place...
so tvpm is my city...

Hey Nisha!!

Was at the Alliance Francaise today...made me remember why I love B'lore so much... cause despite the crowds, the heat and the insane traffic , B'lore still has some places where you can sit back, look at the fabulous flora, breathe the cool air and just enjoy the sound of (relative) silence!

kochi .....the most beautiful city in the God's Own Country !!!!!
lush greenary , serenic backwaters , superb beaches , chinese fishing nets , renowned ayurvedic centre , great shopping malls and market and to top them all, my insti. COCHIN UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY .........
all in all its a fabulous place to live in !!!!!

Waat say abt the crazy traffic and the lousy roads.......naah.....every major city has its share of problems....and bangalore will outgrow these issues pretty soon.
Bangalore is a great city to live in, I must know cauz I have spent my entire life out here. The people out here are great, the weather on most days is heavenly and there are so many great joints to chill out. And yeah .....as Nisha said the eateries are unbeatable........

i disagree abt b'lore having good eateries(i guess i dont know the place enough but the places i went to were not that gr8 except for kfc)
for food and food alone there is no place to beat hyd.

absolutely clueless ya i do agree with u. bangalore traffic is pretty insane esp during peak hours but there are places where u can enjoy the calm sorroundings and the the fresh air.
andthentherewas1more aww.. cmon there are good places to eat and im not talkin about the kfcs ,mcdonalds and all those places.. they are there everywhere . i was talkin about local dosa joints..no one makes masala dosas like bangalore does just like no one makes biriyani like hyd does

I'm from hyderabad ........ n why i luv it?? here i go

--> The Irani and golden chai u get at Blue sea and in charminar r gr8

--> as nisha rightly said ...... u get the best biryani here ..
pointers ---> Bawarchi and Paradise

--> u get a pair of NIKE or ADIDAS or ... u name it ....tracks for 500 bucs ...at the factory outlets...

--> u can watch a movie at a decent theatre just for 35 bucs ...

--> The city is well planned and the traffic is far better when compared with that of many other cities (IT cities ).... but the pollution is bad

--> Many chill out places , ex: our PG official adda .... EAT STREET ..

Too much has been said abt bangalore..so let us add some spicy punjabi flavour..Now u see my location is nagpur but naah though i am here since 4 yrs it is not my city---my city is CHANDIGARH---city beautifull...
The importance of this place can be gauged frm the fact that not only is it an imp union territory it is the capital of not just one but two states--haryana n punjab ... talking abt personal perceptions i luv it bcoz it is so organised--being a planned city it is properly designed with sectors n all..The residential ares r quite separate frm bazars--As far as show-rooms n big shoppa complexes r conc it has loads o themm..It has cool spots such as rock garden,,,rose garden...sukhna..blah blah blah...
The roads r superb n the trees along them r real life savers at times..Furthermore despite being atwin capital life is not that hectic and traffic is quite smooth mostly...
Talking abt food (it seems to be a big criterion here--i luv it) man chd has it 4 each n every kind o clientile--the paratha joints arnd PGI N PEC at night time..the chola-kulcha wallahas..the bhutta brigade..golgappa thelas..man o man ..In some places u hav rows n rows of fast food joints ...Be it shake or juice it is available cheap n plenty..
As far as gals go---CHANDIGARH rocks---o soni kuri..oooooooooo
