In case files, these guys are a few years older. 20 & 21 if I remember right. By the time we came to case files, i guess we were tired of it and had "grown up" Thats why you dint like them. Neither did I. After reading nearly a hundred HB its difficult to keep the motivation going.

Join the club. I too liked the FIve Find-Outers and Dog better than the Famous Five. Fatty,Bets, Goon et al will be etched in my memory forever.

Count me in!!! - 09-05-2005, 05:20 PM

hi guys...
count me in too in the Hardy Boys Appreciation Club....I started reading with Frank and Joe Hardy, and this fixation carried on from Std IV to Std X...case files..couldn't exhaust the list...but the older version...definitely read each and every one of them....remember one very clearly...(that was one of the two i actually bought)
the prime time crime...remember this one anybody???about a TV show...
i knew only after reading this thread that Franklin W Dixon was not one author but a pseudonym!!!very surprising indeed....

Hey great thread folks!

I used to be a die hard HB fan too! Brings back lot of fond memories. I guess thats when my serious reading took off. Guess same with most of the people here.

Interstingly that was the period (for me it was late eighties & early nineties) HB used to be only window to American culture (girlfriends, cars..infact even burgers & sundaes ) with internet, cable tv etc non-existant!

I think I started off with Program for Destruction (or someting like that )

regards,
Praveen
